Everyone likes to save money and get special deals, myself included, with that said it has become very easy to go online order bicycle parts & accessories and take them to your riding buddy and have them install them in his garage.

Ask yourself do the parts have a warranties ? Does the back yard bike mechanic have insurance ?

OK where is this going you might ask. Support your local bike shops, wherever they are. In most cases these people work hard for your business and value your business and in most cases if the parts and or accessories are not in stock they can get them in a couple of days. If you don't see something at your favorite shop then encourage the shop to carry this product. Tell the shop owner what you would like to see in the future, clinics , rides , rides for women only etc. Training seminars, guest speakers. These are the things a local bike shop can provide.
